Having just come from a screening of Andrew Marcus’s film, “Hating Breitbart”, I find myself inspired, and optimistic about the future: a future populated with equally inspired, now courageous, Right Wing citizen journalists, speakers, bloggers and activists, who are determined to follow in Breitbart’s shoes.

What I loved about the movie “Hating Breitbart” is that it allowed Breitbart’s personality to carry the narration. Andrew is a superstar. He is right up there with the best action movie stars and raucous rock stars.

When I was in the trenches of the music business I often asked my record company clients why they signed bands like Guns & Roses and Mötley Crüe. Their answers had one common denominator: What attracted us to them was not their music, but the fact that they were attention getters.

The same is true in our universe. It’s not the message (the mainstream media is biased and corrupt) it is who is delivering it that matters. Only someone like Andrew Breitbart, with his larger-than-life charisma, can successfully deliver that message in a compelling and convincing manner. Now that we don’t have him among us, this movie will inspire more “Breitbarts” to pick up the sword (the camera and the pen) and fight on.

Just as the right wing revered Reagan as a political leader, in Breitbart, we now have a contemporary and relevant standard bearer for all of us Right Wing New Media Citizen Journalists to aspire.

That is why this movie needs to be pushed.

“Hating Breitbart” will become a cult classic… the Right Wing’s “Rebel With a Cause.”

  1. Let’s pray you are correct. He was a pioneer and they are unually a threatened species, threatened by those who envy them but are not qualified to do their job.
